Step 1: Seed Soaking
-Soak seeds in warm water (2 boiling: 3 cold) for 4–6 hours, cover with a damp cloth for 1–2 days until the seeds crack, then sow.
Step 2: Prepare the Soil
- The soil should be loose, well-drained, pH 5.5–6.5.
- Make beds 20–25cm high, furrows 30–40cm.
- Mix organic fertilizer + lime to treat the soil 5–7 days in advance.
Step 3: Sow Seeds
- Sow 1–2 seeds/hole, cover with 2–3cm of soil.
- Spacing: rows 60–70cm, plants 25–30cm.
Step 4: Care
- Water lightly 1–2 times/day for the first 5–7 days.
Plant 10–15cm high, then thin, keep 1 healthy plant/hole.
Step 5: Harvest
- After 60–65 days, when the seeds are full and the shell is dry and brown, harvest.
